Sunday night hockey returns to BMTSP tonight. As the Edmonton Oilers will send a very vanilla team to Winnipeg to face a Jets team that will feature about half of their likely opening day roster.
It will be the opposite of their last meeting speaking in terms of lineup. The Jets sent out their AHL team to get drubbed 7-3 by the Connor McDavid led Oilers. McDavid was at home watching Tiger Woods win a PGA tour event today, while his Bakersfield Condors flew out to Winnipeg.
A few things to keep an eye on tonight. Tyler Myers will be playing on his off side again, pairing up with Dustin Byfuglien. An interesting line will be Perreault playing alongside Bryan Little and Patrik Laine, with Nikolaj Ehlers not participating in the game. This gives them an opportunity to find some chemistry as it could be a potential line later in the season when Maurice decides the 27-18-29 is in fact not a functioning line. Kyle Connor is listed as in the lineup but may miss the game after taking a puck in the throat during morning skate.
Connor Hellebuyck is expected to start opposite Mikko Koskinen.
