Pre-season Game 6: Jets vs Wild pt. 2

The Winnipeg Jets fresh off their shaky 5-4 OT victory Monday night in Calgary will travel to St. Paul to take on the Wild. Laurent Brossoit will get the start in net, he will continue to make his case as to why he should be Connor Hellebuyck’s backup this season.

The Jets will feature a slightly stronger lineup tonight. Jack Roslovic will centre Kristian Vesalainen and Nikolaj Ehlers, can you say zone entries? It will be interesting to see how they fare in their own zone tonight. The TLC line will once again look to show how dominant they are and can be. The other 2 lines will consist of: Suess in between Dano and Lipon and Lemieux, Reichel and Appleton.

The Defence is once again a tire fire waiting to happen, Dustin Byfuglien will be carrying Joe Morrow, Sami Niku will try not to have his pre-season destroyed by Ben Chiarot, and Kulikov and Nelson Nogier will form a third pair. Just remember it’s only pre-season. Right? Why wouldn’t Maurice put Niku and Buff together? Why?!

The Wild will basically have their assumed opening roster playing tonight. Devan Dubnyk will likely start. Former Jet Matt “gritty” Hendricks will play. Ryan Suter also makes his debut for the Wild tonight.
